NEWS 5/12/20

5/12/20

Has it really been over a year since I've posted an update on here? My apologies! I admit that posting updates on Facebook has made me lazy about keeping things up on here. There is a LOT to catch up on.

Since the last update, BRICKS' "Opposite of Icarus" has been released, and there will be a new BRICKS release (Humanity Is A Sinking Ship) available soon via Flag Day Recordings run by BRICKS member (and great solo artist) Guillermo Pizarro.

I decided before the second performance last year, that it would be my last solo performance. The final two performances can be found on YouTube. However, I continue to write and record.

In the works are collaborations with Guillermo Pizarro, YNICORNS, and Ivars Plavnieks. I have a new release recorded for future release through Flag Day Recordings titled, "Why does a caged bird sing?"

My new feature short film, The Audience, had its premier screening in March. It is currently being rejected, considered and delayed for various festivals.

Otherwise, I'm enjoying the rarity of extended time at home with my wife and dog, Bear.

I hope you are safe and healthy!

Good evening! It has been a while since I've posted an update. There will be two solo performances this year. The first has been posted in the Events section along with the first BRICKS performance of the year.

Filming of The Audience is almost complete! Filming of the final two scenes is set over the next two weekends. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate.

BRICKS' "Opposite of Icarus" should be available in less than a month. We will have the release date soon.

Thank you for your time and interest!

All recording, mixing and mastering of the new BRICKS release, "Opposite of Icarus," is complete; seven tracks clocking in about 16 mins. Artwork and release information coming soon.

Filming of The Audience started yesterday. My hope is to have the film complete by mid-Spring.

After completion of The Audience, I will finish up writing and recording for my last solo release (for a while), "Murmuration."

Thank you for your time and support. And, have a safe night!

BRICKS are close to finishing up our second release with details coming soon. In the meantime, we have one of the new tracks, Sound the Alarm, available to hear off of a PA-based compilation which can be heard here.

My next film, The Audience, will start filming in November. More details soon.

Good evening! Two things to report:

- BRICKS are starting to build some momentum with recording our second effort. No title or track listing yet, but I should have more details by October.

- Winchester, VA-based non-profit, Magic Lantern Theater, has awarded me a film grant to help support the creation of my new feature short, The Audience. All actors have been secured, and one more review of the scene layout and script to go before filming begins (early November). More details on this soon!

The first recorded document of the Doomsday Choir has now been posted here. This was from the second performance of DC which had myself, Paul Cogle and Helena Goldberg participating; improvised voice trio.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my performance at Voice of the Valley Noise Fest today. I was looking forward to it, but life got in the way. However, there are some positive things to report:

- The script and casting for The Audience is complete minus one more actress to be confirmed. The goal is to begin filming in late-September/early-October.

- Writing and layout for my next release, Murmuration, is almost complete with a goal of recording this Winter. Track listing to come.

- BRICKS are still writing and recording. I should have more information to share in September.

Take care!

My new EP, "When you life had pain, I was there," is now available for free download here. Due to current life circumstances, I needed an outlet; a way of expressing myself; a method of navigating my feelings during this experience. This EP is the result. "Tired of Hurting" was created using a Tantrum noise synth/box. It is a nasty little machine! "Ready for Healing" is a mix of voice and guitar.

The script for my next feature short film, The Audience, is almost complete. The lead and co-lead have been booked. I should have the last two roles confirmed soon. I'm hoping to begin filming in September. More details coming soon.

Pulling double-duty on July 13th with a solo performance and the second ever Doomsday Choir performance. If you are around the Northern Virginia area, come on by:

6/3/18:

Writing and casting is in progress for a new feature short film titled, The Audience. I'm hoping to have the casting finalized and ready to share along with a synopsis of the film soon.

While writing for the full length, Murmuration, continues; I'm in the process of recording a new EP that will be available for free download titled, "When you felt pain, I was there." This will be a single, long form track. Looking at a July release for this.

There are now four performance scheduled for July including two solo performances, one for BRICKS and the second performance of The Doomsday Choir. TDC is a semi/full improvised vocal-based setup with a fluid lineup. For July 13th, TDC will be Paul Cogle and Helena Golderg of Akris and myself. This will be the second curated lineup in Winchester, VA by the Right Brain Collective.

5/19/18:

Good afternoon! I am no longer taking part in social media, so this will be the sole source news related to my work. There are several projects in the works, including a new BRICKS release, films and a new full length, Murmuration, to come.

There are still copies of my first book, A Little Privacy, Please, available through Pig Roast Publishing. ALPP is a 142 page look into the world of bathroom stall/wall/etc writings along with multiple true stories involving bathroom encounters, and two interviews with people who know a thing or two about this subject. Click here to order.

Both limited and standard editions of my recent release through Flag Day Recordings are still available here.

As always, thank you for your time and consideration!
